Study: Food services and drinking places subsector, 2017 to 2023

Today, Statistics Canada is publishing "Workforce insights: Demographics in the food services and drinking places subsector, 2017 to 2023." This paper explores the demographic differences among employees in the food services and drinking places subsector by leveraging administrative data to examine the workforce distribution by gender, age, full-time work status and residency status. In the subsector, the workforce was predominately young and largely composed of women, with many holding part-time positions.
