Estimates of Inter-jurisdictional Employment in Canada by Province and Territory, 2018

Updated estimates for inter-jurisdictional employees in Canada for each jurisdiction, disaggregated by total count, T4 earnings, North American Industry Classification System, age and gender, are available upon request.

Inter-jurisdictional employees are identified as individuals who maintain their permanent residence in one province or territory, but have paid employment in another.

Inter-jurisdictional employment may represent a significant source of income for home provinces or territories of inter-jurisdictional employees, and a significant source of labour for the provinces or territories in which they work.
