NINE:  Industrial product prices up by almost one-fifth from one year earlier while raw material prices up by over one-third.

Prices for softwood lumber increased by 11.9% after four consecutive months of decreases. Reduced output from Canadian lumber mills, as well as labour shortages at their counterparts south of the border, both played a role in the monthly increase.

EIGHT:  Similar proportions of workers with and without disabilities received CERB payments in 2020. However, workers with "more severe" disabilities were more likely to have received payments.

Workplace accommodations may not be able to be met in a modified work environment, including working from home. These factors, among others, may explain why Workers with "more severe" disabilities were more likely to receive CERB payments (39.6%) compared with those with "less severe" disabilities (33.3%) and those without disabilities (33.3%).

SEVEN: Economic growth slows in September.

Overall, 12 of 20 industrial sectors were up in September, with growth in services-producing industries more than offsetting a decline in goods-producing industries. Preliminary information indicates that real GDP rebounded in October, up 0.8% with increases in most sectors.
